Row after row,
Cold empty boxes,
Harsh red brick or concrete grey.
Regiment lines,
Soldiers of no-one,
Sickly stench of rotting minds.
From the silent street hidden,
Crammed into spaces,
Sapping the soul,
Dulling the brain.
Hour after hour,
Scratching our labour,
Meaningless tasks for irrelevant ends.
By harsh cathode light,
Chained and shackled,
Kept in our bondage,
Bent double with age.
Grab another penny,
Hoard it and guard it.
Claw in its brothers
Laugh as others
Bleed and Die.
Grinding and wrenching,
Stretched into eternity,
Pray for blessed relief,
Final breath.
Coal black cloud,
Hangs over us ever.
Choking

Well it's been a long time since I was last deviant :D Since I was here last I have trained to be a history teacher and am now working in a (failing) middle school teaching everything but history :D Am trying to get my photography back on track - however I've been using the old film SLR recently and as I dont have a scanner - or bottomless pockets - I cant post much. Have put up a recent digital shot from my window though
Yes as you may have guessed the snow is coming down heavy in York and foolish me decided to go to work anyway... My normally 20 minute journey took 2 hours and 15 minutes! It'd better not be like that tonight! What's more - it seems that I am practically the only "grunt" who turned up :( There better be some sledging snow left tonight. I have some pictures which I'll upload soon - and yes I know to most of the people here snow is not that exciting - but it is to me dammit
Well my brother was visiting this weekend so I didn't get a lot of time to get out and about. Needless to say the 6 nations has also been providing a welcome distraction over the last 2 weeks - Go Wales :D. Always nice to be able to laugh at my England fan brother hehehe. Now if only I'd remembered to get Rachel a Valentines card today would be going very well...
Hi there!
